Flight crowned rookie singles champion.
Wednesday 30th October at Bowral bowling club.
The final of the rookie singles has been decided Peter flight defeated Alex Cristlo 25-8. This was a convincing win. Peter has been only playing lawn bowls for 18 months and has improved at a rapid rate which is pleasing to see.
The scores very tight early after four ends flight had a 4-0 lead then Cristlo started work on his game that after twelve ends he trailed 7-5. Those watching the match could not pick the winner.
Through three good draw bowls on the 13th end Cristlo took the lead 8-7.
The score line suggestion a close finish . But this was not the case as it was a complete solo effort from Flight after that he completely dominated the rest of the match following a range of great shots . He spectacularly did not let Cristlo score another shot.
Flight went on to win all the remaining ends to come away with a convincing 17 shot win to win the rookie title.
