With perfect conditions and a pacey green, Picton Bowling Club was set to be the stage for some classy lawn bowls.

Team Spong, Armstrong and Rigg demonstrated enthusiasm from first bowls taking a commanding lead of 18 – 0 after first 6 ends on the Master score board, Bowral had found their line and length early.

It wasn’t until the 7th,8th and 9th end that Bowral conceded their first points across all 3 rinks dropping 8 shots. From 10th to 18th end Bowral would not drop a shot giving a master score of, 34 – 8.

Halfway master score was 50 – 11 with Bowral continuing to show strength across all 3 rinks.

It wasn’t until the 39th end that team Rigg dropped a big score of 6 allowing their opponents to reach double figures giving a score of 21 – 10 for the rink. However team Rigg would only concede 4 more shots to games completion.

All 3 teams showed excellent composure and strength for the entire match with final scores for rinks: Spong 28-13, Armstrong 29-13 and Rigg 34-14 and a Master Score Board of 91-40.

Bowral look set to be very competitive when they head to Dubbo in August to play for the State Flag.
