The Bowral Fours Plate is for first round losers in the Club Championship Fours.  While this meant only three teams competed it was non the less a keenly fought contest.

Kieth Edwards, Dan Ticehurst, Bob Edwards substituting for the sick Brian Porter and Skip Paul Leverett were up against Glen Geise, Don Chapman substituting for the sick Gordon Lewis, Billy Meredith and Robin Staples.

Only three shots seperated the two teams after twenty one ends.  The Staples team took the lead on the first end and were never headed .  After nine ends they held a 12-3 lead.  The Staples lead at fourteen  ends was15-7.  Time for the Leverett team to fight back, and this they did, winning four of the next five ends and closing the gap to 17-12 after nineteen ends.  One shot each over the final two ends resulted in a win for the Staples team of 18-13.
