Three matches of the Club Championship Pairs were organized by the Bowls Secretary for Wednesday 3rd April.

Graham Hunt and Clive Neutze won over Peter Watson and Bob Edwards.  By the half way point Clive’s team were leading 10-5 and continued onwards to a 19-11 shot win.

Dan Ticehurst and Don Chapman played John Edmonds and Gordon Lewis.  With the slow green and the need for a medical time out during the game conditions favoured the Chapman team.  A fairly comfortable win to the Chapman team 27-13.

Play was very tight on the next rink with the winning margin only three shots. Robin Staples and Mike Holmewood were playing Owen Williams and David Coltman.  The Holmewood team took a 7 shot lead on the first end and this was realy the difference in the match because after the first end the scoring was very even.  At end 20 Holmewood had a five shot lead which was reduced to three on the final end.  Final score was 20-17 to the Holmewood team.  The draw is available for viewing in “Draws and Results” under Club Championship Triples/current.
