Pennants on Saturday 6th April was round five of the competition. The Grade 2 team was away to St Mary’s and returned with a 9.5-0.5 win. The Mick Armstrong team had a 21-21 draw. The team lead21-17 going into the last end, but lost 4 shots to end up with a tie. The Josh Woodcock team had a comfortable 22-10 win and Mick Spong’s team an equally comfortable 27-14 win. Despite St Mary’s being the bottom team, away wins are hard to come by and means Bowral has had two wins in a row. Hopefully the momentum is building. Ladder wise, Blacktown Workers are on 35 points, Wallacia 31.5, Glenbrook 30.5, Austral 28 then Bowral 21.5 and trailing are St Mary’s on 3.5 points.
In Grade 7 Bowral managed only one rink win out of six rinks. The Bowral 73 team fared best with a win to Dan Ticehurst and team by 18-14. Clive Neutze team lost 18-24 and Mike Holmewood team lost 13-30. So Picton won 68-54 and Bowral returned with 1 point. The Bowral 732 were thrashed by local rivals Bargo 96-35. The table has Campbelltown on 46.5 points, followed by Bargo 31, Picton 21, Bowral 732 on 20, Camden 18.5 and Bowral 73 on 13 points.
