On Saturday 20th July 2019 a Big Buddy Satellite competition was held at Bowral Bowling Club.  Three games of two bowls triples of fifteen ends were played.  Competition winner won free entry into the main draw of the Big Buddy competition to be held in October.  Entries consisted of  teams from Camberra, Robertson and four from Bowral.  A sausage sizzle lunch was provided, cooked by sizzler experts Billy Dodwell and Bob Kennett.  At lunch time after two games each the Camberra team and the Bowral team of David Coltman, Dennis Beatty and Alistair McGhee both had two wins.  As these teams met in the final game it amounted to a final.  The Camberra team had the edge in the early part of the game.  Then, following an excellent call by Dennis Beatty Alistair trailed the jack to score six shots for his team and take them into the lead.  The Camberra team needed four shots on the last end to tie the game.  This they managed to achieve and the game was tied with Canberra the winners due to a better margin.  Congratulations to this team and all the best in October.
