The first round of the Southern Highland Cup in which teams from Bowral, Robertson and Bundanoon play for the Eric plain Trophy, started at Bowral on Saturday 16th November 2019. In the first Match of the round robin series Bowral played Robertson.  The format calls for a pairs, triples and fours game.  In the pairs the Bowral team won one nine end set and lost the other.  In the three end tie breaker Bowral won 4-2.  In the triples Bowral won one set and tied the other.  Fours again ended with one set each and in the tie breaker Bowral again came out on top with a 5-1 win.  All three matches were tight, but  Bowral scored 3 points to nil on the final score sheet. Notable for Bowral was the inclusion of two of our lady players, Gail Fraser and Rita South.  Roberson play Bundanoon next week with Bowral against Bundanoon on the following week.  The final the week after.
