Entries have opened for the third Major Championship of the year, the Club Triples.  Enties close on the 1st August which is only three weeks away, so gather a team together and enter as soon as possible.

Competition starts again in ernest this Saturday 11th July with the final of the Club Championship Singles between Stephen Della and Bob Crowley.  It should be a good match with an up and coming bowler against an established player.  The match should start at 1pm.  We also have the first round of the Club Championship Pairs with four matches down to be played.  It would seem that this will reduce to three as Stephen Della is down to play in both events and the singles is the most pressing.  The other matches are John Edmonds and Brian Porter against Peter Morales and Paul McInerney. (Paul is substituting for Bill Meredith in I believe his first Championship event.  Best of luck.).  Graham Hunt is replacing Dave Riddell and teaming with Richard Denman against Carl Spilker and Nathan Boyers.  Finally Tony Oakes and Bob Edwards are pitted against Ted McPhee and Chris Forrester.  The next round is due to be played on the 18th July while Sunday 19th July is the following round.

Plenty of activity now at the Club.  A new program has been placed on the notice board for the rest of the 2020 year.  Once I have a copy I will place it in the “draws and results” section.
