A Quiet Time

Bowral Bowling Club is in a quiet phase at present with the four major Championships having been completed.  The final major was the Club Fours finished on 27th September 2020 and won by Dugald Braithwaite with Noel Fraser, Jim Neely and Carl Spilker.  So we now wait for the first rounds of the Club Mixed Pairs and Club Senior Singles.  Both events are still open for entries, which are a bit light at the moment.  I have posted the entries sheet below and am sure it will encourage you to get your entries in.  If these competitions do not tempt you then maybe entries into the BPL Cup is more your style.  If you need the encouragement of financial gain then there is a new Friday Evening Pairs competition which may just suit you.  Copies of the notices are posted below.  Social Bowls is of course available on Wednesdays and Saturday.  Around 30 bowlers turned up on Wednesday 30th September and a good attendance on Saturday 3rd October of 24 bowlers.  Also a photograph of last years Mixed Pairs winners, (above)  Kevin Stafford and Sylvia Handley.

Finally, a notice has been placed on the notice board on which you may nominate for next years Pennant competition.  While there is still five months to go it is important to write your name on the list as it gives the bowls committee an indication of numbers so that they can plan the correct number of teams.
