Another slack period at Bowral Bowling Club while we await the start of the Club Triples competition. I understand that the Zone 5 Triples were due to start on the 10th July 2021 but were delayed due to the Covid outbreak. The Zone 5 website now shows a starting date of the 17th July 2021 which would only go ahead if the restrictions are lifted. Bowral has no teams in the Zone Triples Senior or Reserve competitions but has four teams in the Open competition. The first two teams listed are due to play Saturday 17th July in the first round while the other two teams are to start their competition on Sunday 18th July with a bye in the first round.
Stephen Della, David Coltman and Kevin Stafford,
Carl Spilker, Nathan Boyers and Mick Anderson,
Mick Spong, Dugald Braithwaite and Josh Woodcock,
Bob Crowley, Ashley Lewis and Glynn Phillips.
Notice has been posted on the notice board of the Dan Ticehurst Two Bowls Triples Competition. The event will be played on October 23rd 2021 at Bowral. Closing date is 10th October 2021. This event is limited to 28 teams and the Bowls Coordinator already has eight entries from other Clubs. Entry is $150 per team and while the entry notice does not say I presume the event will be three games of two bowl triples with lunch included. Also understand Bowral will be limited to six teams unless there is a shortfall, so get your entries in early to ensure a place. Notice will be on the “Draws and Results”page.
Not much else to report. Thirty six bowlers on Wednesday 7th July for social bowls and seventeen on Saturday 10th July will all games on the synthetic as the grass was too wet.
