It has been very quiet on the Bowls News front, but then we have been in lock down, for ever.  At this stage looks like the restrictions will continue until mid October.  The Premier did say if areas had fourteen days without Covid cases then the situation might be revisited.  Today’s bulletin did not mention any cases in our area so maybe a faint ray of hope.  Just been reading the latest Bowls NSW advise.  For those Clubs outside the lock down areas, if management opens the Club then we will be allowed roll-ups, social bowls and internal club championship events.  No Zone events will be allowed.  When we do play social the greens will be limited to 20 players per green and a maximum of 50 bowlers for those Clubs with more than two greens.  No doubt with current Government thinking this will all change when the magic 70% vaccine rate is achieved.  I sampled the take away on offer from the Club last week and it was to be highly recommended.  Also wonderful to have a draught beer instead of a beer out of a can.  Give it a try.
