Some bits of info to start with:
- It is heartwarming to be able to report that Betty Lewis, wife of esteemed bowling identity Gordon Lewis, has now been discharged from hospital and is slowly recovering at home from her recent illness. Gordon wishes to thank all those who’ve sent well-wishes and support to him and the family over the last couple of weeks.
- Bowlers are reminded that now that membership renewal will need to be completed before the end of June. Bowling membership is $170, and early payment will get you into the draw for $100 Club cards.
- The opening rounds of the Club Senior Singles Competition were played on the weekend, and more on that below.
- The first round of the Club Senior Pairs Competition will be played at 10am on Sunday June 16th, the semi-finals on Saturday June 22nd at 12.30pm with the final on Sunday June 23rd at 10am.
- The Club Ltd will be holding interviews for greenkeeper on June 6th. Terry Butt and Gail Fraser will be the Bowling Committee members on the interview panel.
BBC Senior Singles Competition
In freezing, blustery conditions, the Senior Singles competition got underway on Saturday with the round of sixteen games commencing at 12.30pm. The quarter finals were then played on Sunday at 10am.
