BBC BROADCAST SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6th (Terry Norwood at the desk)
Some bits and bobs:
- Round two of the RSL Shield was played on Saturday under clear skies and a touch of warmth in the air. More on that below.
- The Tulip Festival event, conducted by the Women’s Bowling Club, will be staged on Thursday September 11th. Clubs from far afield have entered to take on the Bowral women’s and mixed four, so there will be plenty of friendly rivalry on the green. Play starts at 9am and will be worth a look.
- The BBC Major Singles Championship nominations close at 5pm on Saturday September 13th, so, come on gents, get organised and place your nominations on the schedule posted on the notice board.
- To the credit of greenkeeper Dale and the GM Shane, the Wilson Green continues to improve. The general feedback from the triples games on Saturday was that the green was fair and true. Great news, so let’s keep that going.
- Following the RSL competition play, the jackpot draw for $100 went to team 1 (Rikki Wilson, Graham Hunt, Rowena Coode, Greg Lewis)! Congratulations.
