2. On Wednesday February 14th, the BBC hosted a visit from the Yowani Bowling Club of the ACT. The Yowani Club is being disbanded and had decided to join the Bowral bowlers for a social day as one of their final activities. Thirty-seven Yowani bowlers made the trek and an excellent day was had by all. A huge thank you to those involved in the organisation of this very successful venture. An excellent connection has been made between the Yowani bowlers and Bowral with future events a real possibility.
3. Saturday February 17th saw Bowral bowlers head to Bargo to take on the locals in trial pennant matches. Unfortunately, a violent storm restricted play to ten or eleven ends and sent players scurrying for cover. The incomplete results were
Grade Three
Team Armstrong 10 V Bargo 19 Team Braithwaite 16 V Bargo 12 Team Stafford 11 V Bargo 9
Grade Six
Team Crowley 11 v Bargo 5 Team Edwards 7 V Bargo 11 Team Lewis 5 V Bargo 16
Round one of the competition proper will commence next Saturday February 24th with Grade Six hosting Camden at Bowral, and Grade Three travelling to Blacktown. Bowl well all bowlers.
