BBC BROADCAST WEEKEND MARCH 9th & 10th (Terry Norwood at the desk)
PENNANTS
Grade Three
On Saturday, the Grade three Pennants side played host to the mountain men from Hazelbrook. And what a terrific day it was for the Bowral boys! They won two rinks and had a huge win on shots overall, 67 – 36. They took out nine competition points from the match to add to the nines they had scored in the first two rounds and now sit at the top of the table undefeated. Great stuff! The results on each of the rinks were
Terry Butt, Greg Lewis, Mick Anderson, Mick Armstrong 26 V Hazelbrook 12
Al McGhee, Dave Coltman, Stephen Della, Dugald Braithwaite 24 V Hazelbrook 16
Ash Lewis, Nathan Boyers, Kev Stafford, Mick Spong 17 V Hazelbrook 18
For Round 4 next Saturday March 16th the side will travel to Springwood to take on the locals. Keep on bowling well fellows.
Grade Six
Also on Saturday, the Grade Six pennant players got some useful practice in trial games amongst themselves. Four teams played three games of seven ends with all sides scoring at least one victory, and all sides suffering at least one loss. The short games certainly meant that the punishment for a loose end was quite severe. Next week the Grade Six side will play host to Robertson and will be looking for a much needed win to get their season kick started.
