Pennants Competitions

Saturday August saw the opening round of the Zone 5 single gender Pennants competitions for the 23/24 season.

Grade Two travelled to Austral with the following results

Alastair McGhee, Stephen Della, Dugald Braithwaite, Mick Spong  22   Vs   Austral   14

Terry Butt, Gordon Lewis, Ash Lewis, Kev Stafford   9   Vs   Austral   32

With one point on offer for each of the matches and three points for the overall count, this meant that Austral took 4 points for the day and Bowral 1. This was not quite the start to the competition that the team was looking for, but that one is now done so let’s look to the future and Penrith next week. Good bowling fellows!

Grade Four was at home to Austral with the following results

Arnold Lenczuk, Terry Norwood, Ian Crow, Tony Oakes   27   Vs   Austral   21

Peter Cornwell, Scott Kennon, Dave Coltman, Steve Day   18   Vs   Austral   18

These results gave the Bowral side 4.5 competitions points to 0.5 for Austral, a great start to the season. Hopefully this will continue at Bundanoon next Saturday. Go for it fellows!

Steve Day and Dave Coltman both had excellent games in a tight match!
