The king and queen of mixed pairs crush opposition in emphatic win in final.
Jim Neely and Gail Fraser who have won the mixed pairs title five years out of the last six years .
Their only hick up was last year when they lost to Enid Brown and Ashley Lewis in a classic match.
Regaining the title on Saturday 26th October at Bowral bowling club by defeating Gordon Lewis and Slyvia Handley 32-8 in front of a large group of spectators.
After three ends Neely and Fraser held a 3-1 lead.
But they then really put on the pressure on the next four ends picking up 13 shots to go to a 16-1 lead after seven ends. And with it had Lewis and Handley crash out of the final at this early stage of the match.
At the half way mark eleven ends they held a clear lead 16-6 and both players focused and connected.
Their was know way they were going to relinquish the lead they had.
The second half of the match all the good play came from Neely and Fraser.
And they powered on and deservedly regained the title.
They knocked all the stuffing out of their opponents and showed plenty of class in all range of shots.
The good crowd in attendance thinking they would see a close encounter stayed right to the end and gave full credit to the bowls produced although the match was one sided.
To the losers at the end runners up and still running gave the winner Neely and Fraser the full congratulations they deserved for a scintillating display of bowls.
The battle for the title was won and lost for this year.
