On Saturday 11th August 2018, Bowral Bowling Club travelled to Beecroft for the Annual Cup.  With a change from Sunday to Saturday this year, Bowral still managed to find 22 bowlers to travel to Beecroft.

Unfortunately the Cup returned to Beecroft with a 5-2 score with rinks won being the scoring system.  The Bowral team of Brian Payne, Ken Looke and Mick Flynn had a 20-8 victory.  Peter Watson, Dan Ticehurst and Robin Staples also won by 19-5.  Closest of the other teams was Beryl Oates, Peter Morales and Clive Neutze who were leading with two ends to go, then went down a three, and a four on the final end.  Beecroft had four touchers in the ditch on this final end.

Bowral did very well considering our team consisted of only one player fron the pennant sixes and all other players either from the pennant sevens or social players.  The excellent turn out from the Ladies Club was a little stronger.

I am sure everyone had a great day and we thank Beecroft Bowling Club for their wonderful hospitality.  Next year the event will be at Bowral and we shall endevour to win back the trophy.
