Club Consistency Singles

The first round of the Club Consistency Singles was played on Wednesday 5th September 2018.

Three games were played.  Brian Porter had a comfortable win over Harold Wall by 150-103 shots.  A reminder that the bowls nearest the jack is worth 4 shots, next nearest 3 shots, then 2 and 1 shot.  First player to 150 shots with the difference in handicap multiplied by 4.  Players with a handicap below 10 are barred from playing.

The other two matches were close.  Mick Flynn used his experience to win 150-140 over Bob Crowley.  Bob is new bowler who did very well to come so close.  In the final match Gordon Lewis played Kevin Jones.  After 28 ends the score was level at 140 shots each.  On the next end Gordon scored 3 shots and Kevin 7 shots.  This score was reversed on the next end so that both players were on 150 shots.  The final end.  Kevin Jones 7 and Gordon 3.  Well done Kevin in a match that could  not get any closer.

Saturday 8th september is the final round of the RSL Shield and Sunday 9th September the first round of the Club Handicap Singles.
