The first few games of the Senior Singles were played on Wednesday 24th October 2018.  Four games were scheduled.  Mick Flynn’s opponent failed to appear, so Mick moved into the next round.

Gordon Lewis played Robin Staples.  Gordon had an early lead but after the fifth end Robin slowly pulled ahead for the win.  In the match between Clive Neutze and Rick Reynolds the game was very even until the last three ends.  Scores were level at 8 all after 10 ends and level at 18 all after 22 ends.  Over the next four end Clive scored 6 shots to Rick’s 3 and then scored 7 shots in the last three ends to win 31-21.   Keith Edwards gave the highly rated Russell Knight a very good run for his money.  After leading 3 shots to 2 on end four Keith  slipped behind for a few end before taking the lead again on 14th end.  However, Russell regained the lead the next end and lead all the way to the finish with Keith never very far behind.
