Spring seems to have sprung.  Lovely day on Wednesday 25th September 2019 for the final of the Bowral Men’s Consistency Singles.  Finalists were Bob Edwards and Steve Day with Marker the Men’s Chairman Bob Crowley.  Bob was on a Handicap of 9 shots and Steve on 11 shots, so Steve started with 8 shots on his way to 150 shots.  It took three ends for Bob to wipe off his 8 shot deficit and by this time Steve was well on his way with 22 shots.  The advantage stayed with Steve during the whole match.  Helped by three maximum scores his lead was 69-53 half way through the match.  He carried onwards to a comfortable 150-98 win. Well done to Bob Edwards for making the final.  Congratulations Steve on your first win at Bowral Bowling Club.  Steve has come to the Club by way of Bundanoon and Goulburn Bowling Clubs and will be a valuable asset to the Bowral Club.  An excellent event as always smoothly run by Bowls Secretary Dan Ticehurst.
