Saturday 20th August 2019 was the big day for the Handicap Pairs Final.  Peter Watson and Peter Morales on 27 shots handicap was up against Mick Flynn and Nathan Boyers on18 shots handicap.  An interesting line up as Mick and Nathan were equal lowest handicap team and the Peters’ were the highest handicap team having already beaten the other lowest handicap team in that epic five shot last end victory.

Four shots to Nathan team on end one, score 4-9 after handicap applied.  The Peters won the next three ends and shot to a 17-4 lead.  Next three end to Nathan to peg back the score to 17-10. The Peters then scored 4,3,3 and 2 to increase their lead to a comfortable 29-10 at end eleven.  The game progressed fairly evenly there after, Peters gaining 5 more shots and Nathan and Mick gaining 6 shots.  Final score, Peters 34-16.  Not only a terrific win but a result that they would have achieved without their 9 shot handicap.  So commiserations to Mick and Nathan and a hearty congratulations to Peter Watson and Peter Morales for an excellent  Handicap Pairs win.
