Sunday morning 18th August at Bowral was the time and place for the semi finals of the Bowral Club Handicap Pairs semi final. Both matches were extremely tight. In match one Peter Watson and Peter Morales faced off against Kevin Jones and Josh Woodcock. The Peter’s were coming off two excellent wins and hoping for a finals berth. The handicaper’s gave them a seven shot lead which was slowly whittled away so that by the mid point of the game the match was evenly balanced. The Peter’s obtained their finals spot with a 19-17 win. Kevin and Josh clawed back five of the seven shot advantage but it was not quite enough. In the other semi the handicaps were closer with Mick Flynn and Nathan Boyers giving just three shots to John Edmonds and Bob Edwards. Another very even match with Mick and Nathan very slowly reducing the handicap deficit and then easing ahead for a 24-20 win. The Final will be played next Saturday 24th August at 1pm and will match Peter Watson and Peter Morales on a combined 27 shot handicap against Mick Flynn and Nathan Boyers on an 18 handicap. This should be a great match.
