While week 3 was freezing and windy, week 4 was balmy at 17 degrees, but the wind howled. With both greens running quickly conditions were very trying.
This weeks winner was Keith Edwards and Clive Neutze with an excellent win of 35-14 over the top ranked Dugald Braithwaite. Jim Starkey and Bob Crowley had another very good win with 31 shots. As Jim was substituting with Bob as skip their score was reduced to 28. Owen Williams and Billy Meredith scored 29 shots. Other than these three teams the scores were fairly even in the low twenties and high teens. Probably the strong wind accounted for these scores.
Graham Hunt and Barry Werfel had a good win over Dennis Beattie scoring 22 shots. However, the have relinquished the competition lead to Keith Edward and Clive Neutze 121 to 119. Peter Morales and Bob Edwards remain in contention with 113 shots while Dan Ticehurst and Mick Fynn slipped down the table scoring 13 shots to be on 103. Owen Williams and Billy Meredith are next on a clean 100 shots.
Week 5 is played next Wednesday and I am sure everyone would appreciate a warm and calm day.
