The MVMGC is under way.  Fourteen teams have entered and a full round took place on Wednesday 3rd July under cloudy skies.  Winners with the best score was Ken Looke and Brian Payne with 31 shots scored.  Well done to this team.  The results have been added to the “Draws and Results” page for 2019.  So it will be easy to refresh your memory with how your team is going.  A quick resume of the days play.

Team 1 John Edmonds and Don Coleman played new member Brian Elliott and Barry Werfel.  John and Don won 29-17 but a good effort from Brian and Barry.

Team 3, Don Weller and Keith Edwards, and it is great to see Don back with the Club and playing again, against team 4 Kevin Jones and Bob Crowley.  The Crowley team won 24-17.  Also great to see Keith playing again after his double leg operation.

Team 5 of Neville Tanner and Peter Morales narrowly lost to team 6 Graham Hunt and Bob Edwards by  17-20.

Team 7 of Kevin Stafford and Carl Spilkler were up against another very strong team of Dan Ticehurst and Josh Woodcock.  This resulted in a 23-17 win to the Spilker team.

Teams 9 and 10 were Billy Meredith and Gordon Lewis versus Ken Looke and Brian Payne.  This was the winning rink with an excellent win of 31 shots to 19 shots by Ken and Brian.

Kel Limbrick and Don Riddell from Bundanoon came close to Bill Pope and John Cummings to lose 24-29.  These were teams 11 and 12.

Finally Richard Denman and Mick Flynn (13) were up against Robin Staples and Mike Holemwood.  A strong finish by Mick’s team saw them four shots short, to lose 23-27.

Brett Wardell from Moss Vale Motor Group was present to hand the weekly prize to winners Ken Looke and Brian Payne.  Next round is next Wednesday 10th july.
