PENNANTS WEEK 10

PENNANTS WEEK 10 – 18th May 2019

The last round of the pennant competition was held at Bowral Bowling Club for all three teams.

The Grade 2 team did not play their last game as St Mary’s forfeited the match

Congratulations to all the players for their efforts in a challenging pennants season.

The 732 played Bargo and were defeated 60-53. Bob Edwards team was the standout match with a good win 23-9. Some great shots were played by all team members – great effort.

Don Chapman’s team lost 18-23 but were in control of the match until the 17th end when Bargo got 5 shots which took them on to win.

Oscar Wahlin’s team lost 12-28 – this was a surprising result as this team was the form team all season, but Bargo were just too strong on the day. The 732 team finished 3rd on the competition ladder.

On a brighter note the 73 Bowral side had a convincing win over Picton, 89-49.This was a great win with all 3 teams winning. This put them 4th position on the ladder. Considering the amount of team changes throughout the season, 4th postion was a great result, congratulations!

As the pennant competition season has now finished, thanks go out to the team mangers – Mark Wilson, Dan Ticehurst and Bob Crowley for the organising ot the games each week.
