On Saturday August 1st Bowral Bowling Club hosted a section of the Zone 5 Reserve Pairs.  There were no players from Bowral competing in this competition but the Club did have participants in the Zone 5 Senior Pairs.  Ted McPhee and Bob Edwards travelled to Camden.  They lost by a mere three shots and had a good tight game.  Three teams were playing at Picton.  Peter Morales and Brian Porter were defeated 33-11 and Noel Fraser and Jim Neely were also first round losers 25-18.  First round winners were Ashley Lewis and Dennis Beatty . In the second round they played M Behringer and S Hutchinson, who had earlier beaten Noel and Jim.  Unfortunately Ashley and Dennis lost by 25-19 with the pair from Austral going on to win the section at Picton.
