On Sunday 20th January the Grade 2 Pennant trial players visited Austral Bowling Club.  I have not heard a result but will post it if I do hear.  The teams selected were as follows with lead first and skip last.

Two trial games were also held on Saturday.  Results are shown below but are of interest only as the skips were changed during the game.  it was good to see the Chairman of Selectors watching the matches.  Talking to him after the game it appears likely that we will only be fielding two pennant teams this year as we do not have sufficient names on the board.  This would be a shame to see the Club lose a pennants team.  Announcements do not seem to have much effect so I suggest that if you read this post you talk to all and every member who does not have his name down for pennants and try and pursuade them to put their name down.  We only need a few more names and we can field three teams..

In the social game,  Joel Hunt, Paul Rubie and John Cummins played Keith Edwards, Barry Werfel and Bill Pope.  Result is too faint to read but it looks like a close match.
